Scott is serving time in a Victoria prison. Casey is an aspiring actress visiting the prison to stage a play with the inmates. Their memories and fears collide in flashback and dream, amongst the cold waves of the Pacific ocean and the heat of the Okanagan valley where the potentilla – a flower that grows best when baked and starved – grow. Potentilla is the hauntingly lyrical, poetic story of two souls, each discovering their own prisons.
