Teen Drama Intensive Workshop

The Sunset theatre is offering a week long intensive Drama camp for Teens 13-17 years of Age. (Some exceptions may apply through an audition process)

Using voice, movement and improvisation as building blocks, the intensive will aim to enhance individual abilities and confidence. Mornings will be devoted to text, script and character work. Afternoons will provide opportunities for hands-on experience in technical theatre, stage makeup and stage combat. The week will conclude with a public Showcase.

Classes will utilize the amenities of the restored historic Sunset Theatre. Snacks, lunches and a mid-week evening barbecue will be provided.

Rates

Cost: $250 payable in full prior to class commencing

$50 on registration and balance by (August 1, 2010)

5% cancellation fee applicable

Class size limited to (12)

Application deadline: July20th, 2010.

Reference from Drama teacher (preferred)

1 Scholarship available to Wells Teen Resident - by audition only

Sunset Theatre co-owner and former instructor Dave Jeffery has been teaching teens for 30 years and has directed over 55 plays, musicals and collectives. More than 100 former students have gone on to post-secondary theatre training and theatre-related careers.
