Wit, wisdom, womanhood, harmonies, hilarity & hips weave the musical tapestry known as AUGUST. Four  award-winning independent recording artists/songwriters - Rae Armour, Beverley Elliott, Linda Kidder, and Meg  Tennant - may not be spring chickens, but things are still cookin' in the hen house!

They are equally at home on stage or on the back porch, combining their unique blend of folk, country, bluegrass and pop. Their intimate presentation is uplifting, humorous, heart-warming and insightful - makes you laugh, makes you  cry. When AUGUST comes around, it's time to kick back and enjoy the music!

Meg Tennant was born in Sault Ste. Marie and has been writing and singing since her high school days in Northern Ontario. Her first CD Driving With You reached the #1 position on the Folk/Roots chart at Village 900 in Victoria, and is currently receiving airplay on CBC across Canada.

Beverley Elliott, the irrepressible redhead is originally from Listowel, Ontario, but she now makes her home in North Vancouver. Combining her two careers of singer and actress, she has become a local favourite. She has been entertaining audiences with her own brand of earthy country folk music for over fifteen years.

Rae Armour began her music career with a popular rock band in her hometown of Edmonton, Alberta. After moving to Vancouver in 1982, she released an independent contemporary pop album entitled 'On Track', which garnered her double winner status of the Pacific Songwriters Association Write-On Awards. Throughout her career she has performed solo concerts on many international stages including in the USA, Australia, and Europe; and was an opening act for Faith Hill in Whistler, B.C.

Linda Kidder, truly a charismatic singer and performer with the voice of an angel, Linda has toured with kd lang, Gary Fjellgaard, Ian Tyson, Michelle Wright and Norman Foote (to name a few), performing throughout North America and Europe. Linda has two CDs, 'Mom and Me', singing jazz standards with her mom Betty on grand piano; and her recent CD 'Close To Bliss' featuring her own songs as well as a song by Norm Foote, and one by actor/singer Bruce Greenwood.
