Charles Ross, the One Man Star Wars, and visual artist Lisa Hebden tackle the greatest romantic comedy ever, with all the intrigue, dancing, proposals, and lace (did we mention the lace?). Chicken for Supper Productions has produced One Man Star Wars, One Man Lord of the Rings, Sev, One Man 80’s Blank Tape, and One Man Dark Knight: A Batman Parody over the last 15 years. Charles Ross is a BFA graduate of the University of Victoria, Lisa Hebden is an award-winning visual artist and writer and Danette Boucher is a Jessie Award-nominated actor, playwright, director, historian, and artistic director of Histrionics Productions.
One-Man Lord of the Rings and One-Man Dark Knight: A Batman Parody. By surfing the Fringe circuit, his acts have been to over 180 cities in four continents around the world. Charles Ross continues to write and act all over the globe and joins the Sunset Theatre's 2018 season with a performance of his hit One-Man Pride and Prejudice show.
Danette Boucher is a playwright, actor, director and historical interpreter based in Wells, BC. She was awarded her Master of Arts degree In Applied Theatre (specializing in museum theatre/historical interpretation) from the University of Victoria's Department of Theatre with a BFA in 1989 and an MA in 2011. In 1999 she founded her theatre company, Histrionics (HTC). HTC has created and produced several critically acclaimed shows, including the Great Love of Queen Victoria, The Bride of Barkerville, Lady
Charles Ross is a professional writer and performer. He graduated from the University of Victoria's Department of Theatre in 1998 with a performance specialization. Charles Ross is renowned for his hilariously entertaining one-man marathon parodies, most well known for One-Man Star Wars,
Lisa Hebden is a figurative painter operating from Victoria, BC. In 2003, Lisa was a recipient of a Painting on the Edge Award from the Federation of Canadian Artists. She holds two degrees, in Fine Arts and Graphic Design, from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Her work has
been featured in International Artist Magazine, Applied Arts Magazine, Art Avenue, Ceramics Art & Perception, The Vancouver Sun, The Halifax Herald and the Claremont Review. Her paintings can be found in private and corporate collections in Canada, the United States, Germany and Australia.
Overlander and The Fred Wells Show at the Sunset Theatre. HTC was the former in-house theatre company for the Parliamentary Players from 2004 until 2016, the BC Legislature’s acclaimed summer theatre program. From 1993 to 2003 Danette was a co-artistic director of Barkerville’s renowned Street Theatre program. Danette has stuck to her applied roots and can be found directing and performing when she can here in Wells.
