General Information:
Stage Area
- Raised Proscenium Thrust, painted black masonite deck wood sprung floor.
- Upstage blacks
- Playable stage area 14’ deep X 20’ wide, Stage Deck to Proscenium House Floor to ceiling 16’
- Cinematic screen can be used for projection or double as scrim 12’x16’ fixed 2’ above stage deck.
- Red Velour Manual traveler curtains
- Cross over behind Screen 5’ deep
- Backstage SL & SR are small cubicle areas
- USL will house future spiral staircase to downstairs dressing rooms.
- 15’x24’ Sharks-tooth Scrim (traveler)
Seating
- 98 Art Deco (pre-1920) fixed Seats on main floor.
- 2 Private Loge Boxes with 4 seats each in Mezzanine.
Please note: Seats are being restored and re-installation has begun.
Lobby and Concession
- Concession is Open for all events
- Special Event Liquor Licenses will be supplied for certain events at the sole discretion of Sunset Theatre.
- Lobby is open daily to sell arts and crafts and other merchandise
- The lobby and concession will be open during performances.
Dance Floor
- Wooden floor on stage is a masonite covered sprung floor. As yet there is no Mylar dance floor but in the future there will be.
Dressing Room (in progress)
- 2 Dressing rooms for 3-4 people each with a bathroom and shower.
- Greenroom, Laundry, and small kitchen area.
Please note: Dressing rooms are in the process of being built. The goal is to have them operational during the 2008 season. Dressing tables will be housed back stage.
- Dressing rooms and areas are to be kept clean at all times. This is the responsibility of the occupant.
Venue Policies
- Please DO NOT Park directly in front of Theatre.
- Only Theatre personnel will have access to keys
- There is to be no unauthorized personnel in the building at any time.
- Food & Drink is Prohibited around any Equipment
- All equipment must be covered at the end of each night.
Fire Safety
- Sunset Theatre is strictly a non-smoking building. No open Flame may be used at any time on or near the premises.
- Fire Exits are at the back side of the theatre and out the double doors at the front
- The up stage left of the theatre and the two front audience doors are the fire exits.
Firearms
Under no circumstances will firearms of any type be allowed in the theatre. Replica Firearms may be used if there are members of your company present with a current and valid PAL. The firing of blanks or use of replica firearms as props will not be permitted without a valid PAL holder present.
